All about me sounds impossible to me. But on this site I might provide bits and pieces that a visitor may try to fit in her or his way...
I was born in Baroda---then a princely state in Gujarat---in 1938. My parents, Purushottam Atmaram Chitre (nicknamed 'Baburao') and Vimal Kashinath Gupte, chose to marry one year before I was born. I was the first of their seven children---four sons and three daughters. My father had inherited a small printing press from his father, a maverick businessman in Mumbai who died prematurely while his career was peaking. The press was dismantled and brought to Baroda by my father's uncle. My grandfather had purchased some property in Baroda that became, thus, my 'ancestral' home.
